Texas Offline will be unveiling GibbsCAM newest release GibbsCAM 2006 at the South Texas Machine Tool Show in booth 219 & 118. The two day show, held June 14-15th will be at the Reliant Center, Houston, Texas on Wednesday from 11:00-7:00, and Thursday from 10:00-4:00.
“Machine tool consumption is up in Texas” quotes Jason Heyse, President of Texas Offline, “so the South Texas show will be the perfect platform for introducing GibbsCAM version 8”. GibbsCAM vs8 has already shipped to customers on GibbsCAM Maintenance.
“This latest release of GibbsCAM continues to provide our customers with powerful capabilities while keeping with Gibbs’ commitment to ease-of-use,” stated Bill Gibbs, president and founder of Gibbs and Associates. “Over 300 enhancements and fixes requested by end-users and Gibbs Resellers are included in this new GibbsCAM release”.
GibbsCAM vs8 also includes a number of enhancements that ensure compatibility with the latest versions of leading CAD systems, such as Autodesk Inventor, CATIA, Pro/ENGINEER, Solid Edge, SolidWorks and Unigraphics NX.
"Development has been working hard to make sure GibbsCAM V8 is a high quality release. It contains a number of significant enhancements which extend GibbsCAM’s overall capabilities or expand existing functionality across all GibbsCAM modules”, states a Gibbs & Associates representative.
There is not enough room to expound on the near 100 enhancements, however a short list of new solutions in V8 are: Find Ops, Feed and Speed Editor, Fillet Toolpath, Spiral Bore, Multi-Contour, Import VNC, Mirror Ops, Pinch Turn, Model Associativity, and Show Surface Normals are just a few of the plug-ins and are only a small part of all improvements in GibbsCAM 2006.
For over twenty years, Gibbs and Associates has been a leader in providing cutting edge CAD/CAM technology, while maintaining its signature ease-of-use and productivity. Powerfully Simple, Simply Powerful is the guiding philosophy at Gibbs. Gibbs believes in empowering the NC programmer, machinist, and manufacturing engineer, not eliminating them.
