Training Overview


Texas Offline is the Official GibbsCAM Training Center for Southwest USA, along with the corporate training center in Moorpark, CA.  We provide you with the most current GibbsCAM training by our Certified Trainer along with valuable tips and tricks to make your software more efficient. There is plenty of one on one-hands on help provided.  If you are new to computers, or this is your third CAM system, you will feel at home in our classes.
 
Our two training centers are located in Houston and Dallas where they are conveniently located near the two main hubs in Texas.

  • The Houston Training Center is at 10605 Grant Road suite 205 Cypress, TX 77070 with nearby hotels available from our office.  George Bush Intercontinental Airport is a convenient 30 minutes away.

  • The North Texas Training Center is located in Dallas, Texas at 1700 10th Street, Plano, TX 75074.  This convenient training center is 30 minutes from DFW Airport with nearby economical hotels.

Training Classes are held weekly at the, Gibbs Training Centers.  Jeromy Moore, GibbsCAM Certified in Lathe, Mill, and 3D SolidSurfacer, teaches the 8:00-5:00 classes. A computer workstation is provided for each student along with a take home workbook, decimal chart, and Certificate of Completion.  Class space is limited and reservations are required as these classes fill up very quickly.

The one-day Lathe class teaches how to quickly create 2-axis geometry & generate 2-axis toolpaths with all aspects of the GibbsCam Turning Package.  Mill training is offered in the 2 day class and covers 2, 2.5 and simple 3-axis geometry and tool path with options on Advance Mill & Rotary Mill.  A one day class is offered for the GibbsCAM SolidSurfacer module with the 2D Mill class as a prerequisite.  This detailed class will teach you about creating and machining 3-axis solid and surface part models, importing Parasolids, and IGES Cad files, and Advance Mill.  Special classes for your particular advanced interest are held upon request.  Training on your site is also an option that we can provide for your convenience.

 

 

Training Details


Production Lathe Training

A computer workstation is provided for each student along with a take home workbook, and decimal chart. While in attendance you will learn how to quickly create 2-axis geometry and generate 2-axis toolpaths with all respects of the GibbsCAM Turning Package.

Production Mill Training
The two day Production Mill class covers 2, 2.5 and simple 3-axis geometry and toolpath with options on Advance Mill & Rotary Mill. A computer workstation is provided for each student along with a take home workbook, and decimal chart.

3D SolidSurfacer Training
The 3D SolidSurfacer class is a detailed class to teach creating and machining 3-axis solid and surface part models, importing Parasolids, and IGES Cad files and Advance Mill. Each student must have completed the 2-day Production Mill class first. A computer workstation is provided for each student along with a take home workbook, and decimal chart.

5th Axis Training
This one day class details tool path for Surface Flow, Surface Lace Cutting, Swarf Cut, engraving & 3D Contour. The class covers a range of functionalities dedicated to 5-axis programming.  Learn to create tool path for full 4th Axis parts such as “J“ Slots and how to move the tool off centerline in “ Y “ axis easily. Students need to be proficient in either Solid Mill or 3D SolidSurfacing.  A computer workstation is provided for each student along with a take home workbook.

Special Advanced Classes
Special Advanced classes can be scheduled upon request.  The class can be tailored for you or your   programming team.  Cost varies according to topic covered and student quantity.  A Quote can be delivered upon request.

Minimum class requirement of 4 students per course.
Texas Offline reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course if minimum class requirements are not met.
