eNETDNC - Data Collection


In addition to CNC file management and machining monitoring, the eNETDNC system can also be configured to include data collection capabilities. With the addition of our E-Terminal, the DNC system can be upgraded to a full-featured data collection system allowing the machine operator to communicate job-related information directly from their machine. There is no additional wiring required and all communication is done directly through the Bar Code ScannereNETDNC system. This feature also eliminates the need for expensive centralized computer or data collection stations on the shop floor.

Job changes, shift quantities, set-up times, quality data and other production information is entered into the eNET system at the workstation. Data can be manually entered into the eTERMINAL unit or the system can be installed with a bar code reader to improve the accuracy of the data e-Terminalentry.

Employees can be required to punch in and out at shift change at their workstation instead of the normal centrally located time clocks. No longer will supervisors need to wonder what time the operator actually arrived at the machine.

This data collected via the eNET system is then configured to upload into your existing shop floor management system. Whether used as a stand-alone system or combined with the machine monitoring option the eNETDNC data collection system is sure to improve the accuracy of your shop floor data.
